Snipping the wires on the sensor module would probably work, too, but I hate doing stuff like that when just dissipating the power just like the 3rd brake light had done might get the job done. I saw a write-up on 3ZC where some crazy aussie snipped the wires to the module and that solved the issue. I'll probably keep that as a last resort in case the resistor idea doesn't work... The quick connects are a great idea, I'll have to look into it. And yeah, it's a massive resistor, but since the stock 3rd brake light is apparently pulling 52W, It's the proper rating. At least I think. If someone feels like pointing out a mistake, I'd actually appreciate it. In the meantime, thanks for the post and suggestions.
